However my happiness was short lived. When I got to HNL I checked into my flight to LAX and when the kiosk spat out my boarding pass it still showed me as a oneworld ruby (BA Bronze). When I spoke to the agent checking in my bag I raised this with her. She stated that the AA computer said I was ruby not a sapphire. I offered to show my status on the BA app but she declined, stating she had to go by what was on her computer. Then asked if I wanted to pay $50 for lounge access, I declined.

I was in a similar situation last September on a DUB-CLT-NYC-PHX-LAX-HNL-LAX-MCO-CLT-DUB run, starting bronze, finishing gold. Hit Silver after the LAX-HNL sector, showing on app but HNL printed OW Ruby on BPs.

Asked if they could remove FF number and re-add, as according to others on FT this can force it to update but it stayed Ruby.

We went to Admiral's Club, showed our Silver cards in the BA app and were admitted without any issues - also no problems getting into Admiral's club at LAX with app Silver card and a Ruby BP.

By the time we left MCO, BPs were showing sapphire, but it was academic due to there being no AA lounge
