I don't think it's as big a deal as it used to be - unless you're talking about a very large line. The casinos used to use it as a gauge of how much you gambled. Everything is now fairly well computerized through their players cards/clubs so it's not used as it once was. Again - unless you're talking about a very large sum.

That being said, I have one in the casinos I frequent. It's much easier than carrying a large sum of cash or hitting an ATM.
