When travelling CW I often ask for cheese and biscuits (with Port) as well as the sweet dessert - always saying only if any available/ left over (and asking for the sweet first).
Always had a Yes sometimes served at the same time as the sweet, sometimes they come back after finishing the service ... and sometimes with apologies if they've run out of the Port.
