I just upgraded our tickets on Delta from Economy to Business for our June flight from JFK to PDX (nonstop). I was hoping for lounge access. This policy is certainly not clear and I was granted access to the T4 Delta Sky Club in October 2014 for a nonstop flight from JFK to SEA (Used miles).

SeatGuru describes the seats on this 757 as Delta One.

Glad to know this in advance - evening PDX flights seem to depart from T2 anyway.
The phone agent that canadiantransplant spoke with is wrong: JFK-PDX is not D1 service. The only domestic D1 flights are the nonstop JFK-LAX/SFO and vv transcons.

In the past, there was a list of about a half dozen additional nonstop transcons to and from JFK that were also entitled to lounge access in FC or business class, but this policy has changed.
