Yes... the thing about lactose intolerance is that sometimes I can get away with eating milk products without any side effects. Chewing pills is an inconvenience so I usually - and unwisely - take the risk.
(I probably get away with it more often than not because I drink the lactose-free milk. If I remember correctly, they make lactose-free milk by stuffing regular milk with the lactase enzyme and mixing it to digest the sugar before they package it. Even though the enzyme supposedly breaks down quickly, maybe there's a residual effect that lets me consume milk products without effect?)
^, I can't tolerate regular milk, thus I drink lactaid. However, I don't have any problem with ice cream, yogurt or cheese.
