When I go check the flights, it was a struggle to find almost any flights at that price; most were $1700+. After a while of prodding, I was able to find a couple weeks (within the four months in which departures for the promotion are valid) where the announced fare exists.
Why does AC do this? Does it make sense for them to say "we have these cheap flights" even though it is basically a lie? Why include a month in the promotion in which the fare is never available?
It's kind of like "Free Hot Blondes, Click here". A tease will always pull consumers in. Then it depends on how clever the consumer is to realize there are either no hot blondes, no free gift with purchase and only one day that the lowest fare (with an * of course) is available.
I never trust anything that starts off with the words "From as low as...." but then I prefer brunettes. LOL
