I visited Rome a few years ago while in college - so Rome isn't planned for me on this trip. Unfortunately our time off only overlaps on the 22nd-24th so that's why those days must be spent in Florence. My GF will continue to Rome with our friends after I leave.

Rome offers more flights so I will probably fly into Rome and then make my way to FLorence. I was thinking of visiting Pisa, Sienna and some other small villages. I wanted to get seaside but it may not be possible. I think I'm going to train/bus. I have a small budget of which I want to allocate the most to food and the loding while with my girlfriend in Florence.

Suggestions?
