As I recall, Della Casa in Berne is a great restaurant. After eating there, Rudi told me it is one of the finest restaurants in country. It's too bad you won't be there at Christmas time. Berne is magical then.

As for Milano, buy shoes! There's no place in the world like Milano for shoe shopping.
And glassware!

If I'm getting the name right, La Briciola in Milano is a fabulous restarant, and was extremely trendy last summer. It may still be. It's run by a couple of guys who used to have a restaurant in LA. The ambiance is quite unique.
