As we all know, status with Choice is not the benefit it is with other programs although the booking window for awards is valuable and the bonus points are probably OK (although with the frequent "stay twice, get 8000 points" promos, not earth shattering).

Reports are floating around the internet that Hilton has continued its status match program. It appears Choice Diamond gets you to Hilton Diamond through March 2018 (? Really. I'd be happy with 2017 but. . .). I'm Hilton Gold through so many different avenues that I don't need to get there with Choice. But if I can get Diamond for a year or two with Hilton, especially with a Hilton stay coming in Dublin this Thursday and more likely to come on awards since I'm basically tapped out on Choice points for the time being, I'm figuring my second Choice Diamond experience will pay some dividends.

Something to think about, especially if you do the occasional Hilton stay--I have one in the past six months.
