I noticed that the fee dropped to $1.20 vs $1.25 when the amount displayed in on the card swiper. To not draw attention, i went ahead and swipe, enter PIN and patiently waited for my MO and receipt. I am in CA.
Just a note, i was denied a MO at another neighboring PO just before where the clerk said she wanted to see the card. Looks like someone flamed that office.
