I see on the HKG app that CX845 has been apparently arriving at a Tarmac stand instead of a gate lately. Is that correct? I know it's early, but aren't the Tarmac stands reserved for overcrowded periods and airports lacking enough gate capacity? I hate when they do that after a long flight to Europe but at least then it's usually light outside.

And on a related subject, can I assume that there is no transit security and once in the terminal I'm free to find my departure gate?

I know these are minor issues, but it is a 15 hour flight and I'm sure that everyone just wants to get off the plane as fast as possible at the end. I know I do.
