DL and UA eliminating intra Asia flights out of NRT does not mean NRT is no longer a hub for DL and UA. DL and UA still operates flights to NRT from various cities from the U.S and still consider NRT as a hub. DL is focusing on Micronesia leisure market out of Japan, trying to compete with UA Micronesia operation inherited form Continental Micronesia. UA flight out of NRT is to GUM hub where connected to other Micronesian islands. But DL is doing non-stop such as NRT-SPN and NRT-ROR, where UA requires transit at GUM.

I will not call NRT hub of DL and UA as thing of the past, not yet.
