As I write this, local TV is reporting various protests (street blockades) by Taxis at various strategic parts of town, including access to EZE International Airport.
The Newspapers are saying that Uber has openly defied the Buenos Aires City Government by deciding to commence operations without proper licensing and without the basic requirements that Car Service and Taxi's need to operate legally.
It would appear that this will go to the City Courts, I am expecting the Legal Counsel of the Taxi Union to file a formal complaint and get some sort of Court ruling quite soon. It is going to get interesting.
Stay tuned....
