Chase Ritz Carlton card. Called in and said I was thinking about canceling asked if there was any way to reduce or offset the AF. The only offer made was that I could "think about it" and receive a refund of the AF if I cancel within 6 months of when it posts. Canceled then and there.
I got this card solely for the instant Marriott gold status, but I no longer stay at Marriotts much at all after having changed jobs that prefers Hiltons. The annual fee of $395 to keep this card and 1 Marriott point per $ of general spend is not worth it to me (even with the $300 airline incidentals credit). Had card 1 year, total spend ~ $15K.
