If SG isn't going to allow AC to book codeshared J, AC should drop the relationship.

You got me thinking, so I looked at all the flight combos on SQ's own site. From YYZ, the routings offered are either via FRA, LHR, SFO-HKG or LAX-NRT. You get to sit in business for all but one - the FRA-SIN on the 380.

You can still sit in J the whole way on all the other connections (and J on their 380 from LHR and LAX-NRT. Having done their 380 J recently.....sooooo worth it. )

Fare cost is typically higher @ $7,500. Thing is, my 3 recent J flights with them confirms they are absolutely worth it if you are willing to spend the $$$.

When I asked AC about why their fare with CX or SQ to my destinations were so high, the agent told me it is because that is what CX or SQ is charging AC. Well, that might be fine if one buys J and gets J, but I'm hardly going to spend that kind of coin and sit in Y for even part of the trip. That's not what I'm paying for.

Anyway, we can debate this "pricing model" all we want. AC does not ask for our input so I'll assume they are fine and we have to make our own choices - you want AQM and AQD - pay for AQM and AQD...and AC metal or 014 stock or any combo on the menu.
