Well, aren't you actually saying you are stuck with AC, not so much *A.
You can fly other *A carriers to Europe, but if you buy the ticket from them, obviously you won't earn AQD. (and let's be real, AC metal does not hop through Europe)
I have always believed that this is like punishing the customer because the service provider can't deliver the "products or services (destinations)" we need.
AC does not fly to JNB or SIN or BKK and so many other places. If one has to fly to such destinations and if one wants to continue earning AQDs with AC, the result is often these insane codeshare situations.
I wonder, therefore, since AC assumed that the "few" of us who fly to such non-AC destinations will suck it up and pay the fare that I, Adam and others have shown. Or, are some of our choices to fly other carriers / alliances not having any impact whatsoever on AC (as they are making mucho dinero elsewhere).
