Checking to see if any EXPs have had any luck getting upgraded on JL (from Y to J) recently? I flown them quite often in the past couple of years, and found myself stuck in Y (which is what I paid for, so what I expect) each time, although some J seats remained empty.

Right now I have a flight booked from NRT to SIN in a few days, where the seat map is wide open, compared to my return a few days later, where it definitely is not..

Some years back I got upgraded about 30% of the time, but that has really gone down recently in my experience..
