Given that you have quite a bit of time, this is one of those situations where you should probably book one or more reservations that doesn't require prepayment and track them. The best non-prepayment deal I am seeing is $565.79 with Alamo, but admittedly it is for a 2DR economy car. The 4DR models seem to be running about $100 more. If you do book a prepay rate, try to do it at some place that does not have a cancellation penalty in case a better deal comes along.
