That is correct. There are baggage drop counters as you exit customers, so there is no need to rent a trolley or carry your bags to the AA terminal.

As far as baggage, I believe BA will govern your fees outbound as it is both the initial operating and prevailing / most significant carrier.

On the return, USDOT and AA as initial operating carrier will prevail AFAIK. See
