This should really be moved since it concerns LOT only and has nothing to do with Air India. Also, seat design and maintenance varies significantly between airlines and aircraft, even if it all looks very similar to you. Note that seats are built by a completely separate seat company with no relation to Boeing, so drawing conclusions with respect to the 787 seating is flawed.

You should contact LOT customer service and explain your experience and ask for appropriate compensation. I don't think you have a valid EC261 claim, but you may wish to start your negotiation accordingly, with a request for a refund of 75% of your ticket price for that sector.
