Hi folks,

I'm looking at Spain next August for my next free trip. Cashing in Northwest miles, it looks like Lisbon is my best bet to land--I don't see where they go into Spain (or am I wrong here?). I've got several questions while I start planning...

1. Driving. It looks like rental cars are reasonable, and trains are in short supply. I'm wanting to visit at least Gibraltar, Costa del Sol, and Barcelona. Any sense of drive times & quality of roads between these places? Again, it looks like I'll be starting in Lisbon.

2. Ferry to Morrocco. Anybody done this? Is it worth doing for a day or two as a side trip? Suggestions?

3. Ibiza & other isles. Anybody been out there? Travel times, does ferry take cars, etc.?

4. Salvador Dali. I'm a fan, and want to check out where he lived an worked. Anybody else done this?

5. Amsterdam. No, I know it's not in Spain, but I change planes there. Is it worth my while spending a night or two there, or should I include that on a different trip. Spain looks like it can eat up 12 days fast.

6. Lisbon. Same question as above. Should I plan a few days there, or get on out into Spain?

7. Any other suggestions of what to see or avoid are welcomed!
