Well we don't arrive until May 9th, but I'll definitely let you know! We arrive Athens on May 4th and while I am looking forward to Crete, I'm also beyond excited about Hotel Grand Bretagne.

I am a bit disappointed to hear from Blue Palace that the private pool on the Masionette Suite is not heated, but that's such a Champagne Problem that I feel silly when I think about it. We're getting treated SO well by Grand Bretagne with pre-arrivals emails, etc., that I'll be happy if Blue Palace lives up to half of that.

I just read The Island so I am stoked to be staying in Elounda, within walking distance of Plaka, and with a great view of Spinalonga. I've done so much research on this property, but I'm always coming up with more questions. 22 days until I leave for Chicago, then fly out the next day to Athens. I've been planning this trip since November while traveling to other destinations, but this Greece trip is very likely going to be my best trip ever.

Now, if BP upgraded us to the 2 bedroom suite, I'd be over the moon!

Still, I'll be in Greece, and if my best friend needs to sleep on the pull-out sofa at Blue Palace, she'll live, lol!
