Target doesn't display any buttons yet you can cancel out the PIN prompt for debit cards by pushing the Cancel button--even with EMV. It's actually a pretty common way of doing it.
Usually when this is the case, the PIN entry screen will have a message along the lines of "Enter PIN and Press Enter or Press Cancel for Credit". This was not the case at Macy's.
