Sorry to resurrect an old thread but we (Wife, 14yr old son, and myself) just booked 3 nights with points for a standard studio suite. What are the chances of getting a free upgrade to their 1br suite? I am IHG Platinum and eligible for a free room upgrade on a standard room but not sure about a suite. I realize if it happens to be full I would not get one but if not, should I ask when we check in or just hope we get upgraded? It would be nice to have the suite with a full kitchen and laundry especially having a teenager with us.
