Quick one night stay a few weeks ago. Room wasn't ready at checkin so the bellhop took my bags and the bags were already waiting in my room when I returned later that night. Welcome gift was a selection of sweets from the bakery downstairs as well as a bowl of fruit.

Room was as described in the earlier reviews (well furnished, but with temperature control issues).

It was a little tricky to get to the gym if you're staying in the upper floors as you'll have to change elevators, walk down a hall to a new set of elevators, and go down a couple more floors. If using the treadmill, the default language is Chinese. Press the Taiwanese flag in the upper right corner of the screen to change the language.

As others have also said, it's nice to have a Category 5 hotel in Taipei, albeit at about 15-20 minutes from the city.
