My hypothesis is that it has always been this way. A combination of nights, revenue and number of IC's and IC nights. It used to also be a minimum of 3 continents, but that went away years ago. Maybe they should bring it back?
And a big YES to RA for Life after 10 years. C'mon IHG, it's not like the Intercontinental brand is going away no matter what M&A happens.
