They may well be offering a discounted consolidator fare from a block of tickets they have acquired from AC and are reselling quite legitimately. It's just that their general reputation and the inconsistencies between what's on their cover page description of the fare, and in the detailed fare rules, makes me suspicious.

You did not come down hard on them. My experience is that they are not honest. CBS New York did a profile on their problems and activities and it wasn't pretty. In my case Cheapo sold me a business class seat on EVA, but when I checked my reservation and seat it was in premium economy. Bait & switch. Cheapo said EVA was the one who called a z class fare a business class seat, but admitted it had made an error in its program. Its own description showed a "business" description. It refused to provide a refund. EVA refused to intervene and CIBC refused to cancel the transaction saying it was a merchant dispute. Everyone acted unethically.
I was in NYC on business and went to the Cheapo offices. to demand my money back. In the waiting area were other aggrieved clients, one of whom was quite vocal. At the time, I was dealing with Cheapo's crappy VOIP technology and Indians who were not conversant in the English language. It's agents worked from their homes. Look up who the principals of this firm are and once you do, you can reconsider
