A photo that is part of a visa within a passport is no replacement for the formal photo/information page of that passport.
I would contact the embassy to have it replaced.
Yep that would be the best move. Go to the embassy and find out the necessary procedures. Don't worry it'll be easier as long as it's still not expired.
