I will soon be going to Rio to be joining a cruise with my elderly parents. We will be staying at the Intercontinental. I am interested in safety issues in Rio particularly near the hotel. Also I would like to know about the security of taking an IC airport shuttle to the hotel- anything to watch for? Thanks!
