A bit of trivia about this hotel.

It was once a railway station, built by The Caledonian Railway, hence the name of the Hotel, although it originally opened as Princes Street Station Hotel. The three archways were the entrances:



then the hotel was built on top 10 years late and when the station closed in the 1960's the station complex was demolished and turned into a car park. Very little remains of the original station complex. However, I few of you regulars may have been interested in the buildings history. :-)
