2) Unlike what others have told you here I would not want to walk from Main Station to Hotel if you have any thing more than a carry-on. Just hop on a taxi and pay the $70 NTD (of course the driver might not appreciate it).
Except the W is often 2-3x the price - and often higher than the Le Meridian
