A nice addition to downtown Akron, which was in desperate need of a nice hotel in the downtown area. Very glad to have this as an option on a trip to Akron this past week. Here are my thoughts on various aspects of the hotel:
Room: As expected everything was new and clean as the hotel had only been open 3 weeks. I had a standard king, which was equiped with a small refrigerator, microwave, tv, and a couch (which looked like it had a pull out sofa). There were plenty of outlets (and usb ports) scattered throughout the room. The shower was a glass shower with a rainfall showerhead. Standard Paul Mitchell products.
Location: As noted above, downtown Akron really needed a new hotel. The hotel is located right next to a trendy apartment building. Within eyesight of the hotel are a couple restaurants... a low-key Italian place and a more trendy place in the apartment building next door. I didn't eat at either, so I can not recommend either. Also in the same building, but not yet open, is a bar called "Speakeasy." You can also easily walk to some other downtown Akron places and watering holes (Crave, Uncorked Wine Bar, etc.)
Services: As I was only there for one night, I didn't take advantage of any services, but there was a bar that also served breakfast, I believe.
Parking: While the hotel offered valet parking ($22/night, I think), when asked, the hotel attendant happily directed me to free parking less than a block away.
Front desk: All of the front desk staff was friendly and excited about the new hotel. The check-in was a little slow, but I think that was because the person helping me was new.
