Better Hotel Rates if Booked Locally MVD / EZE / SCL
Is it possible to get better hotel rates if one books the hotels IN these cities? I leave for MVD April 25, and have been too busy/lazy to book anything yet. If I book where I'm there, can I get a better price?

As was discussed here , USAFAN seems to have been offered a walk-in rate of ARP 285/night at the Alvear Palace.

Anyone else have any experience with this and/or suggestions? Or should I book before I go? Or can a local travel agent help?
