Hello! I recently booked tickets for a trip to Jordan. I live in the US and my husband has a Jordanian passport with an expired US visa printed in it with photo identification and everything from when he first arrived. When I went to check on the passports and make sure none were expired I found the photo in his passport had water damage, smudging half his face. The photo in the expired visa was fine and so is all the info throughout the whole passport and bar code but the photo on the passport main page is damaged. There is photo identification in the document but it's part of an expired visa. My husband has a Green Card and legal status so he doesn't need the visa to be valid.Can he still use his passport or would we have to have it replaced before we leave? Is the photo in the visa still valid even though the visa is expired? It's two years old. We leave in July and I don't know how long replacing it would take so I need to get on it soon. Any input or experience stories are welcome 
He should put in for a new passport as soon as possible. A visa -- expired or not -- won't generally be considered ID and an international travel document acceptable for travel by itself.
