Good to hear that you at least get a sandwich up front late in the evening as a warm cookie is a pretty poor option on a flight over 2 hours. Dub-LHR is under an hour and both BA and EI have better option both up front and back in Economy.
F has a full breakfast tray (entrée, fruit and pastry) and dinner (entrée, roll, salad, cookie) on this route. The cookie only service occur on late evening flights (Its either after 8:30 or 9 PM...I forget which). I rather doubt the options on EI are better based on my experiences with them...
