Looking for ideas from the Brasilian (or want to be Brasilian) crowd.

I'm flying into Recife the end of January for 8 nights. I've traveled the coast between REC-MCZ and the Natal area quite a bit and was thinking of going north towards Joao Pessoa this time. Any ideas about beaches and/or places to stay?
