I've found train schedule sites that only list main stops from main cities. Lonely Planet book claims there is one straight train from Datong to Xian #275 or #475. Anyway can't find it. Nor could I find any bus schedules, Lonely Planet claimed express bus from Beijing to Datong began 2003. Figured if I could find the return times, it might be quicker than going back to Bejing from Datong to catch train to Xian.
