You have to transfer money to a OneSmart card via bank transfer. Any transfer from a credit card would be treated as a cash advance which is ineligible to earn SP/APD and will immediately accrue interest.
There are two ways to do an airpoints top up, one is via Onesmart like you have mentioned. I'm actually talking about the Air NZ airpoints credit card top up. If you read my link in my OP it will explain more. It doesn't require a cash advance or interest.
I'd probably consider the transaction as equivalent to purchasing a gift card on my credit card.
