I was responding to posts that started with the suggestion that the cure for PTSD was money.

I used an analogy of losing a finger, whereby money won't make me whole, but enough of it might make me feel whole enough to move on.

And I said that the difference between losing a finger and a condition like PTSD was that bystanders cannot see PTSD, which explains comments like "Her PTSD has an obvious cure - money."

If you think I'm downplaying PTSD, you're misinterpreting my comments. All I'm saying is that anyone suffering from such conditions as a result of negligence is deserving of some form of compensation so that they can try to get on with their lives.
