...but from what you've said above in several comments, I don't think you have any concept of the lasting impacts of an illness like PTSD. There's no amount of money that just makes something like that 'go away'.
I'm not saying it makes it "go away" any more than it would regrow a lost finger.
But then why bother suing at all? If it won't make it better, then isn't it just a sleazy cash grab?
No. Because money does help with things. I've know several people with serious mental issues. One had enough money to just quit his/her job and effectively retire, which made it much easier to manage the condition. Without the money to allow that, he/she would be in a very bad place right now.
Does that mean the issues are gone? No, it just means they're managed better than if there was also a 9-5 job in there.
