Noticed recently a trend trying to book a few companion flights. The 788 service to/from Vancouver/Toronto is almost never (and I stress almost as it did show up once but disappear from inventory as if an error had been made on an otherwise empty flight) available to book in J-class. Trying a huge range of possibilities up to the maximum period outward and using Priority awards even, nada. It is if those flights do not exist in the Aeroplan system.

While it is up to AC and Aeroplan to do as they please as companies, it would be great if they could be a bit clearer about such decisions/policies as it builds frustration. Just like the decision to not allow YYZ to SCL business booking until the last minute - no inventory is released on that route but it took me many tries to have someone finally confirm.

Anyone else aware of other routes/equipment that has the same restrictions?
