If I didn't have a new machine from/for work (waiting for me at the office, so I can't comment on the model particularly), I might feel differently. As it stands, I've already waited this long, I might as well give it a few months to see if I can get what I really want instead of a compromise.
If not, right now I'm planning to get the E5470, and go for portability (and playing nicer with Linux) over dGPU or the 3K screen.
