Air Asia also uses JB as another hub, you don't have to fly thru KL.

They add from Senai Airport, Johor Bahru to:

Kuala Lumpur from RM 19.99
Penang from RM 45.99
Kuching from RM 49.99
Langkawi from RM 49.99
Kota Kinabalu from RM 89.99
