At JFK, that would be a big surprise. When I've seen that kind of question and very closely related ones asked, it's been because the TSA employees are serious and even confrontational in some ways approaching a degree of hostility akin to that seen when 5-7 year olds are left to play by themselves for a long time and deprived of proper nutrition and mature guidance.
