I agree with the suggestion of Perhentian Island in Terengganu, East coast of Malaysia, but if you're looking for a real beach relaxation with a beautiful atmosphere of peace and calmness as well as things to do, then I would suggest the Pan Pacific Pangkor Resort, which is in Lumut, Perak.

On the other hand, if you're looking for loads of things to do with beaches and water sports, disco and loads of tourists, then I would suggest the Shangri-La in Penang Island.
