Thanks for all of your helpful replies. Certainly learned a lot today. Wonder if anyone has experience requesting room upgrade in advance? I am a Diamond member (thanks to the "insane" matching program) and have some upcoming stays in June.

Sent 2 emails already. Both GMs merely welcomed me and said would be supervising my stays. Is this approach of securing an upgrade generally not feasible?
