Really interesting why they are doing this. Sounds counter-intuitive. For travelers to BOS, this means Quiet Car and Business class passengers will be the furthest away from the exit at South Station.

There are also a number of NER stops between BOS and NYP that leverage a small, elevated platform where there is no full train platform (Kingston, Westerly? forgot which). This platform is always at the front of the train. This means any business car passenger with mobility issues or those carrying a lot of luggage, will need to board at the front of the train and move 7 cars back to business...

Anyone else have insight on this change?
