I applied 2/24, conditional approval next day, but first appointment available was not until May 12th.

I checked everyday and was able to reschedule my appointment to mid-April, then I checked again and got April 1st, so keep checking for earlier appointments. My interview at LAX GE Office was quick and I received the final approval email in a few hours. They DO NOT take walk-ins at LAX.
