The alternative is a 4 to 5 hour drive to Aberdeen. I've used it a few times, flight takes not much more than 20 minutes in the air from memory. Much quicker than driving but expensive being Eastern Airways.

A few people I know in the oil industry use it quite regularly as they are part of the Air Discount Scheme.
