As has been observed here before, and on its face only, since MAR gives 10pts/$ and SPG gives 2pts/$, the logical ratio is 5:1. But this goes awry when one considers elite bonuses.
I'll just wait and see what they do, knowing that whatever that is people will complain about it.
It goes even further awry when one considers credit card earnings (1 point/$ in both, perhaps with a slight tilt towards SPG because Amex charges more so can pay more for points).
